What We Believe

We believe in God as the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and therefore all its miracles and writings to be totally true.

We believe in salvation through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross; water baptism by immersion symbolizing new birth in Jesus; the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a personal blessing for empowered living in which believers will speak in other tongues.

We also believe in holy living in obedience to God's Word; miraculous answers to prayer for healing and deliverance; and the soon return of Christ for those who have been born again.

We do not suggest that we are the only church. We openly recognize that many other Christian groups and denominations are also committed to the task of building God's kingdom.

Our purpose in the Assemblies of God and the reason for writing this is simply to spread the news of God's love and forgiveness made available through Jesus Christ. This is our primary message and hope for you-that you too may come to know Him as Savior and Lord. No doctrinal distinctiveness or preferred worship style can compare to the importance of this-being born into the kingdom of God.
