We all want to make a difference, to be able to do something meaningful in the world. Each of us can really only do something small. So, how can it make a dent in all the things going on around the globe?

When we combine all of our small efforts together, we can make a big impact. That is why we give - to make an impact for Jesus in the world. So many people still need to hear of His love and WE can help.


What is a Faith Promise?
A commitment between you & God that allows Christ's Place to have global impact. You can give as God enables you to help take the message of Jesus around the globe. A faith promise is a gift given above your tithe that helps support missionaries. You make a faith promise so you have a personal goal to reach and the missions team can make plans for who and where we can provide support during the next year.

Why should I give to CP Missions, rather than just giving to missions on my own?
The CP Missions team is a group of passionate people who have the knowledge and know the needs of missionaries around the globe. They will figure out how the money we give can be stretched to be the most effective and strategic in reaching a world that needs Christ. Filling out a faith promise card helps this team plan for the next year based on an income estimate.

Where does the money I give go each year?
Our primary priority is to get missionaries to where God has called them and help keep them there to do His work. Without support of churches, missionaries are unable to fulfill God's calling on their lives. Our second priority is to keep people at Christ's Place connected and informed with what's going on in missions around the globe. Our third priority is to help people go on short-term trips and have a firsthand experience in missions outside of our own community.

Where would I get the money to give?
You can give in faith out of what God can do in your life. Make a faith promise, believing that God will provide. You can sacrifice something from your current budget in order to give. You can also get creative about ways to raise money to meet your goal. There are all kinds of things you can do to raise some extra money - use your talents and skills to do so all throughout the year.

How long is the commitment I make?
Weekly or monthly from November 2007 to October 2008. You can give cash or check in the offering and be sure to mark your offering envelope or check with "missions".

What does the Bible say?
The Christians living in Macendonia..."gave offerings of whatever they could - far more than they could afford - pleading for the privilege of helping. What explains it was that they had first given themselves unreservedly to God. The giving simply flowed out of the purposes of God working in their lives." 2 Corinthians 8: 1-5
