We are a community of people being trained and equipped to live among the world as missionaries. We all may not be able to quit our jobs and move to a remote place in the world to serve and love people who need Jesus. We ALL can serve and love people who need Jesus right where we live, work and play. There are people who are hurting and disenfranchised all over this city. There are people that want nothing to do with the church or Christians or think that neither of those have anything to offer their lives. Those are the people we are called to love and serve because we are Christians living in and around Lincoln, Nebraska.

Most of the time telling is not enough. Sharing the gospel is show and tell. Showing involves loving people, living Christ's example of love for everyone, everywhere.

Every Christian is called to be salt and light wherever they happen to be, whoever they happen to meet.

Being a missional church means sending Christians out of the church and into the culture to serve as missionaries through relationships. We then create culturally relevant environments so those people can then get connected within the church to grow and then be sent out. In order to reach our community for Christ, we must both bring people in and send people out.

Jesus' incarnation is in itself missional. God the Father sent God the Son into culture on a mission to redeem the people. After His resurrection, Jesus also sent His disciples into culture, on a mission to proclaim the success of His mission and commissed all Christians to likewise be missionaries to cultures of the world. In addition to immersing Himself in a culture for a mission, Jesus' ministry was also marked by the large crowds that were drawn to Him because of His preaching and miracles.
